FAQS FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE 

1. How do I get roadside assistance?

 By downloading and signing up to the TravGuard app. 


2. What type of services does the roadside assistance entitle one to? 

• Replacement of flat tyre (with your spare tyre) 

• Limited fan belt repairs (subject to availability of fan belt) 

• Limited overheating issues 

• Limited electrical malfunctions 

• Jump starting of battery 

• Fuel assistance (subject to availability of fuel) 


3. What should I do when my vehicle breaks down? 

Contact us 24/7 via the Travguard app. We will engage you and immediately dispatch the nearest mechanic to the spot of the breakdown within the Accra, Kumasi, Tema city environs. 


4. How quickly will you reach me? 

We will endeavour to reach a customer within 2 hours of contacting us. 


5. What should I do when the mechanic gets there? 

You are not required to do anything. Our trained mechanic will authenticate your vehicle firstly and after begin work on your vehicle. 


6. How does Fuel assistance work? 

When you request for fuel assistance, a mechanic will come to your aid. You will need to bear the full cost of the fuel purchase. 


7. What happens if a part needs to be changed? 

If a part needs to be changed you will have to bear the cost of the part. 


8. If I find myself out of zone outside where you operate can I be assisted? 

No. The roadside assistance covers services within the specified zones of the Accra, Kumasi, Tema city environs. 


9. What happens if my vehicle breaks down at home? 

The roadside assistance does not cover home services. All vehicles must be at least 1 km away from the home of the vehicle owner. 


10. What happens if my car cannot be repaired on the roadside? 

The vehicle would have to be towed to a garage of your choice or one of our partner garages (if you prefer). The full cost of tow will have to be borne by you and payment needs to be done before a tow truck can be scheduled. 


11. Do you provide emergency assistance? 

Yes. If you are not a member of the First Call roadside assistance, then you will be charged a one time service fee and a mechanic will be assigned to assist you. The customer service representative will thoroughly engage you to understand the nature of your breakdown and if it falls within our six (6) services a mechanic will be dispatched. If not we can arrange towing your vehicle to a garage of your choice at your cost.
